Kentucky Owl Confiscated Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Had the chance to talk with a Kentucky Owl rep. From my notes it’s a blend of four bourbons, aged six, eight, ten, and twelve years. Nicely balanced with some smoke and vanilla. Layers of flavor including cherry and anise/licorice? Some bready, maybe graham cracker. Long finish with a return of vanilla and cinnamon. I’d buy again.

Thanks. Yep, I’m here in AZ as well. And a distilled spirits fan too. Appreciate your response and, as I see, your thoughtful library of reviews. Prost!
@PBMichiganWolverine Yes sir! this is their first foray into the world of Whiskey.
@dubz480 Stoli the vodka company!?! They’re a bottom shelf vodka producer. It’ll be brand dilution. At best.
@PBMichiganWolverine they previously we're very transparent but then Stoli bought them and scaled the distro from Kentucky to Nationwide whilst maintaining this high price point (SRP is actually $130)! Proir batches we're super limited, all at cask strength and only available in KY! This is like Black Maple Hill! Living of old hype!
@dubz480 one thing that pisses me off is the lack of transparency and then charging premium prices. I don’t care if they source it, I just want to know what I’m paying for
Thanks for the details. Wish they would be a bit more transparent, but good to know the rep actually gave you those details. Based your handle assuming you are in AZ as well. I see it sitting on shelves at local Costco for $99. Will be interesting to see if they drop the price further and maybe will dive in then! Cheers and nice review
