What does a man do when he already is filthy rich, has an amazingly beautiful wife that’s also a freakin’ great do-good international lawyer, and is still handsome enough in his late 50s to make women half his age swoon? He opens up a tequila company. (Or a gin company if you”re Ryan Reynolds). And of course, that tequila is also damn good.
This one isn’t as good as his Resposado—-somehow lacks its complexity. But still good, with notes of lime, some oak, a bit spicy, and mineral-y. Goes really well with rich foods (pasta, pizza).
If you had to choose one, go for the Respaasdo. Preferably while watching Syriana ( my favorite Clooney movie )

@Rick_M the 500 bottles I have might disagree 😔. Actually @Scott_E and @Richard-ModernDrinking can attest...when we’ve been to tastings, I think I barely had a sip from a few pours.
@PBMichiganWolverine - Well done! Yours is an excellent case study on willpower.
@Rick_M yeah, but just a sip. Barely. So the loophole is that it’s still a dram, but spread across a few types 😊
@PBMichiganWolverine - I count 11 drams in 27 days. So much for the “dram a week” theory. :)
@PBMichiganWolverine the two Coen films are very different from Syriana. Our George has more of a comedic role in O brother, which he does well I think. I have a special affection for that film. Not as worthy or award friendly as his impressive turn in Syriana I have to admit though.
@1901 those two are better than Syriana? I’ve not seen them—-well, now I know what’s going to be my Amazon Prime or Netflix viewing this weekend. I had to watch Syriana twice; I remember missing the first 10 minutes in the theatre, and I was lost for the entire movie. Was one of those where every second was important
@1901 Same here. I thought it was fairly bold of @PBMichiganWolverine to not choose one of the classic Coen Bros (O Brother or Burn After Reading) as the best Clooney film :)
@PBMichiganWolverine The penny dropped when I got to Tequila company rather than tequila dram :-)
@Soba45 funny! Actually made me laugh out loud here. I wish even one iota of that was about me!
When I read the intro I thought you were talking about yourself for a second and thought wow that's a modest way to start a review..Haha :-)
Nice review. My favourite is O, Brother.
