Picked up this bottle at the distillery visitor’s center in late March. Warehouse JW Barrel No. 19.6 G. I revisited this gem two months later and write my review with the benefit of several tastings. The oak and alcohol are present on the nose but not overpoweringly so. The taste delivers licorice followed by caramel and a whiff of smoke to finish. In a word smooth!!! The experience is wrapped up with a lovely Kentucky hug!! Adding a few drops of water smooths out the nose and decreased the licorice notes on the tongue. Vanilla caramel shines through with the benefit of the H2O. Less KY hug with dilution. I like it better with no water added. BTW, when I purchased this bottle, I was with two friends. We each picked a bottle from a different barrel. That evening we sampled each liberally. I must proclaim now with no bias or malicious intent that my bottle is superior to theirs.

Addendum: on further reflection, there is definitely a chocolate finish to this dram.
