My third scotch and first Islay, and unlike anything else I’ve had thus far. Smoke, bandaids and salami-like meat on the nose. All that carries over to the palate, with the addition of brine, with the salami note somewhat diminished and the smoke, brine and bandaids right up front. I can easily see why some people hate it....but the more I drink it, the more I love it.
