Absolutely incredible for the age. This bottle is jam packed with flavor and complexity. It’s very sweet, viscous, and the abv is just perfect- the sweet potato thing is there but is subtle and warranted, it’s only 1 part in about 8 different notes that I pick up on. Well worth the price. Fantastic.

I'm glad Distiller members other than myself are enjoying this one. I feel that I tend to rate North Carolina produced stuff too highly because of my local bias. However, I've never felt that way about Rua. I've always felt that this is an amazing product that can compete with any other American Single Malt. I definitely think that this is every bit the equal of Westland, Stranahan's, Few, Balcone's, Corsair, etc. Kudos to Ollie and everyone at Great Wagon Road Distillery for an amazing whiskey.
Agreed. Always enjoy this pour when I happen to be in NC. Picked up a cask strength version last time out
Huh - never heard of this. Thanks for the tip.
