Nose: butter, raw fruit juice.
Palate: entry is one of the best and unique Iv had! It burns on entry at FIRST and smooths out into a fantastic melody of sugar daddy’s, black cherries, strawberry, lemon, melon, and watermelon bubble gum.

@BeppeCovfefe True but the bottle states distilled and aged in KY. If you just see bottles buyer beware!
@dubz I believe if you import the barrel and bottle it in "your state" you can call it "your states" product. This seems like a lax standard that has been abused of late.
@PBMichiganWolverine I can get the 4yr out here for $50 and honestly I pass Everytime. Prefer too many others to it. I had an opportunity to buy the 5 yr Bourbon for $109 and passed on that too. Based on my experience with the 80th Anniversary I didn't expect much from it.
@Evilbiochemist it would not be, it's a KY Distillate. Who knows which one!
@BeppeCovfefe all of those are 100% sourced. Only the new Old Bardstown and the Pot Still have any Willett Distillate. As for the source it's not MGP as they all state Kentucky Straight Bourbon.
@BeppeCovfefe @dubz480 I guess I’m thinking of their rye—-that’s really affordable, at less than $70. Their 5 yr bourbon is silly priced at over $500.
This didn’t taste entirely MGP to me. I almost never see their bourbon in Atlanta for sale by the bottle, only bar pours and rye on the shelves from time to time.
Thanks dubz/BPM so I'm told the source is mostly mgp, now I wonder about Noah's Mill, Rowans Creek, also bottled by KBD and theoretically too old to be "in house" juice.
@PBMichiganWolverine @BeppeCovfefe for the Rye they released a 2,3 and 4 yr. That is their own juice. Anything older would be sourced. The Bourbon the have a 5 yr that is their own juice or the 80th anniversary that is a BiB. All the older ones are 100% sourced. Hope that helps.
@BeppeCovfefe I thought only the 3 and 4 were their own. I’m not sure about the 6. @dubz480 do you know?
Was under impression Willett's product was now mostly their own work, maybe their still reboot isn't as remote history as I thought. These bottles have been getting "glass cased" by the price gougers. Hope to give it another try soon!
@Evilbiochemist I think these are easily available for less than $100. I got the 3 yr old for $45, and the 4 yr for $60.
@BeppeCovfefe - I’ll go with a 4 for uniqueness- not sure who distilled this puppy, but it stands on its own. I wasn’t expecting this one to shine - but it was really nice.
This bottle clearly spoke to you, while it gave me the cold shoulder. So if I had to guess a star # you might assign it would be closer to a 5 than a 1.
