I took out the trash and what do I see. 🤔 A drunken old derelict taking a pee.🥴 He’s filling this bottle of Old Crow, can it be?🤔 It might be for you but it’s sure not for me!🤢 Enough said.

@Ctrexman that’s the nice thing about whiskey, there’s something for everyone right? 👍🏼

This is not great bourbon but I will take it over almost any Canadian

@OldDude Indeed,I remember a time when Old Crow wasn't uncommon, but that was when Seagrams 7 was considered "good" whiskey, and the venerable 7 & 7 was one of the most requested bar drinks of the day.

@BeppeCovfefe it has quite a storied history of famous endorsements, unfortunately this is not the same bourbon. If I remember correctly they had a lot of quality control issues back in the 70s. I believe Beam addressed those issues successfully... so at least now it is consistently bad. Don’t ask me why but I just had to pick up that mini when I was at the store. 🙄

I'd certainly like to ask the folks at Beam-Suntori what they were thinking when they bought this label out.

@OldDude Haha..nice. You wouldn't see that happening these days!

@Soba45 This is a very different bourbon than I remember it some 50 odd years ago. My shop teacher would keep a bottle of this hidden in a cabinet under an old lathe. A couple of us guys would “hit” this one from time to time, he never marked his bottle or anything. When he ran out he’d just put another one down there. Maybe the memory is better than this bourbon was, but this bourbon was the one that made me a whiskey guy.

@PBMichiganWolverine I tried to be objective with my insights on this tasting and obviously I failed miserably 😂.

You missed your calling as a poet. R rated ones at least 😊
