I didn't want to try this one, I don't like black label at all and this is supposed to be the same recipe just aged longer. It tastes nothing like black label. The description on this site hits it exactly. Caramel and vanilla at first, then as you swallow, the spice hits and your left with a spicy caramel, vanilla taste that makes you want another sip. This bourbon is VERY good, and here in central AL. it's under $20.

Nice review. This one is a sleeper and a great price point for a daily sipper.

Great review. This used to be my everyday sipper but now I find the flavor a bit thin. However, for the price an amazing bourbon and smooth to match. Where in central AL are you near. I went to school at West Alabama and I was stationed at Ft. Rucker for a time..
@BDanner yes sir! It's funny how I ignore this until it's time to find something in this price range and then suddenly I'm all over it! ha (cheers)
It's pretty amazing how some extra time can make a huge profile difference in a distilate, I suspect this is indeed very nearly THE SAME black label recipe with maybe a different yeast and rick house site plus some added aging.
I just participated in a survey from Evan Williams. Looks like this one is getting an upgraded bottle and label. Hope a price increase doesn’t come along with it. I don’t buy this one often (Not sure why), but when I do I really enjoy it.
