Whistlepig 18 Year Double Malt Rye (1st Edition)
Rye — Canada

Soft on the nose and in the mouth, this leans more to a bourbon palate than the spicy signature I expect of Whistlepig. Where it redeems itself is on the finish, which is long and chocolatey. Worth tasting if you’re offered a pour - I got a couple at a tasting event this evening - but there’s no reason to add to your home bar unless you must have the beautiful bottle it comes in.

Saw this for $319 at Costco and still mos def NOT worth the price. I’ll take any of the Lock Stock & Barrels (13yr, 16Yr & 18yr) or Lot 40 CS over this...and they’re all significantly less $$.
@PBMichiganWolverine well that's whistlepig, they're all about marketing their brand as premium to be premium?
@dhsilv2 that silly expensive for Canadian sourced rye
@PBMichiganWolverine I think msrp is 400
@PBMichiganWolverine - yes, I saw this today for $345 when I bought the Ardbeg. Whistlepig sources from MGP and Alberta Distillers so must be from one or the other, or a combo of both. They didn’t start distilling until 2015 and I didn’t read anything about finishing in their own casks.
Isn’t this one pricey —around $300?
