Glen Garioch 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland

Opens with pear, honey and sweet fruit (white grapes, maybe some lemon or orange peel) but the high alcohol (48%) takes over to warm the mouth with a nice amount of spice and smokey bourbon. Lengthy finish with the sherry and oak finding their way in at the appropriate time. Despite the high alcohol it’s not at all astringent.
