New Holland Zeppelin Bend Straight Malt Whiskey
American Single Malt — Michigan, USA
Reviewed

A guy walks into a bar and orders a three dram whiskey flight. The bartender says, "we're all out of third whiskey you selected". The guy quickly scans the menu and thinks, "Zeppelin Bend. Cool name. Why not?"
I'm still searching for the punch line.
The nose has some vanilla, but some weird funk and possibly some acetone. And it gets worse from there. The palate is just plain weird and disjointed, and it finishes with stale beer and more weird funk.
I've never had anything like Zeppelin Bend before, and I hope it remains that way.

@jonwilkinson7309 yes, New Holland brewery is very popular in Michigan. Maybe not as much as Founders, Bell’s or Old Nation, but they make some great brews. I’m not much of a beer drinker these days, but if I felt so inclined I’d probably reach for something from NH
@Generously_Paul. I didn't realize they started with beer. It makes some sense now.
This is what happens when a brewery ventures into whiskey. Although, their Beer Barrel Bourbon is quite serviceable. The Dragon’s Milk stout is an amazing bourbon barrel aged beer though, one of my favorites
@Ctrexman Indeed! it was a heartbreaker.
sounds like the levee broke and left you dazed and confused
