Tasting notes: Appearance/Colour: golden yellow. Nose: apples, cinnamon, oak, plums, grapes, vanilla, caramel, orange, tangerines, some port notes. Overall, not bad but subdued. Flavour: much more robust than the nose. Spicy, oak, dark fruit, sweet sherry notes. Vanilla and candied sugar mid sip. Chocolate and caramel along with a spicy hit towards the finish. No real heat on the back end. Finish: medium bodied, long oily finish, mostly the oak and spicy pepper. • Overall: pleasant whiskey that, although mild on the nose, makes up for in flavour. It lacks a touch of depth, but still enjoyable to drink!
