It's Islay so there is a peatiness, but a nice mild ammount of peat that playfully pats the peat to yer pallet. ...Peat... Its smooth, with carmel and leather, and a toasted peanut brittle that was left in the oven a little too long. Burnt. Burnt peanut brittle thats now a tad bitter. Were you eating peanut brittle, you'd wretch, but for scotch, its actually a pretty inviting little note. Like being deep in the woods and finding an old stucco n wood tudor cottage that has been abandoned for 200 years. Open that door and take a musky whiff. Thats Bowmore. Like being transported to old world scotland with a hint if Hansell and Gretel.
