I am a fan of what Richard Patterson @ The Damore does with finishes...Quite a bit going on with this dram possibly muting it?? Due to retail cost i would say does not live up to price paid. Their website reads: Six different cask finishes are exquisitely curated to create a one of a kind whisky with a rich and enticing flavour profile. DALMORE KING ALEXANDER III is finished in Kentucky bourbon casks , Jerez Oloroso, Sicilian Marsala, Douro valley port , Cabernet sauvignon Sounds wonderful Nose, palate & finish are smooth but lacks my flavor profile. Not memorable
