Smoother than regular $30-40 scotches, though there's still a burn at the finish. Nice oakiness. The flavours from the sherry cask are not as pronounced as they advertise. Also, I get a hit of peat, which I find distracting as I'm not a fan of smokiness/peatiness in my whiskey. For the price, I would try something else before coming back to this.
