Surprisingly delicate on the nose from what I’ve heard. A bit of vanilla, and then the malt dominates, with maybe a hint of grass. On the palate it’s rather fruity and friendly at first, and the smoke fills your mouth for the medium finish. The pear isn’t overwhelmingly at all. I was quite impressed after my lowered expectations.
