Nose: Honey, ginger, lemon, and some peppermint. Some floral notes as well, especially rose. Palate: Surprisingly spicy, with cinnamon at the forefront. An earthy nuttiness follows. Slightly harsh. Finish: Sherry casks and tannins present themselves into a long, grainy finish. Overall, despite it being slightly harsh this is a great value single malt. The spiciness is particularly pleasantly surprising.
