I was lucky enough to try this by a good friend and it was awesome! The 50% doesn't show on the nose and the tasting notes are smooth considering the higher abv. Definitely robust but, sweet sipper.

I agree. It is just a shame that this is soo popular that it is hard to find here.
@Ancient33w I seriously call total wine and Bevmo everyday to see if they have anything allocated and I was able to pick up 8 of the Henry McKenna's luckily. I also picked up but, regret not picking up more Blanton's. I hate seeing a shitty score on whiskey/whisky and either no explanation or an explanation that cries out "I'm new to whiskey/whisky and can't taste the flavor yet." there's absolutely no problem with being new to anything but, don't give a shitty score to something you can't fully appreciate. I definitely think the Evan Williams BIB deserves a higher score over all from the reviews I've seen.
Thanks for your comment on the Evan William BiB. The Henry McKenna is also great but is getting harder to find in my area at a reasonable price.
