Taste: smooth start that really opens up with it's complexity in the middle of the palate. Medicinal, iodine taste. I must mention I'm partial to the Ardbeg Uigeadail which is my favorite peated scotch I've had thus far.
Nose: Old wood, some coal gas. Simile to the smell you get when you're starting a charcoal grill with some lighter fluid. Definitely inviting for peat scotches. Lives up to the name
Color: Deep amber, honey.
Finish: long finish leaving a pleasant buzz on your lips which is signature of Islay Scotches. Well respected scotch but personally not my favorite. Would never pass if someone offered it to me.
Score: 7 on a 1-10. Above average, a cut above most.
