On the nose I get wood and apple tarts. It’s quite delightful. Palate brings a wave of oak with a dash of pepper. Has an earthy note I can’t quite place. It’s not hot. Every sip i take brings the nose back to the forefront. It smells older than it is. Finish is medium and very oak dominant. I’ve had this bourbon before and didn’t much care for it. This time around I find it quite good. It’s nothing new or fancy and it’s not worth over retail but it’s a cool bottle for your home bar. Cheers!
