There's nothing really noteworthy in this dram. And not that every dram has to be amazing---but this one seemed to have found that unique space between "not bad" and "affordable". it's great for the entry into single malts, but honestly--1lacks the depth and character of a 12 yr old. Would I buy this again? Probably not. But would I drink this one again? Sure...it's not bad.

Well, palates do change over time while prices tend to go up. Although Old Pulteney is not among my favorites, I must applaud them for not making the malt 'more likeable' and 'easy accessible'. It's good to have malts like Pulteney, Clynelish and Tobermory around.
Slainte: ironically, at the time 2 years ago, I was thinking I'd rather pay a few bucks more and get the Balvenie 12 instead of this. How times have changed...this didn't go up in price as much as the Balvenie 12. Now, probably a value buy
We are on the same page! No bad spirit - but I'd probably not buy another bottle...
