The nose is oak and vanilla. I would call this a half body whiskey, but that's precisely why I bought it. I'm not incredibly good at discerning taste in Irish as I am in bourbon (strict rules make some flavor profiles easy to notice). It's very sweet immediately, like candy, and it's gone quicky after a swallow. No lasting burn, and the ethanol doesn't linger, finishes with some slight almond notes. This will probably be my go to for daily relaxing, and I'd happily recommend it to a friend.
