A- light honey, like the first batch of maple syrup. N- very slight ethanol, light Carmel and butterscotch, smoothed out with vanilla notes T- classic bourbon notes, but gentle. Slight bite - due to the rye - but reasonable heat. M- light oily, slightly more than water. Coats the tongue, not the mouth. O- clearly an entry level to the premium levels. Not bargain basement stuff - not by a long shot - but also not in the same caliber as Bookers, Bakers, or Knob Creek - of which this shares the Jim Beam small batch. Very good taste - but I feel like when you’re into the ‘good stuff’ this is just too weak to be the ‘good stuff’. Probably perfect for hipsters wanting to think they’re classy without putting in the work!
