I had heard and read a lot of good things about this one and its brother "Ledaig". I think i expected too much. The nose is spectacular but the taste and finish are very low.
Bottled at 46.3% with a pale staw color.
On the nose is lovely, Instant great aroma. Brown wedding cake, vanilla cream very appealing, prunes, Nutmeg and fresh pear.
On the palate is a cheap whisky. That is the best description i can give. Thick, hot, young oak and almonds. Ginger aftertaste very boring.
Overall i give this dram a 68 over 100, and if it werent for the good nose it has, score could have been a lot lower.
