Deerhammer American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Colorado, USA

The color of this single malt is similar to polished brass, and thick watery legs stream down the glass.
The nose is sweet with notes of green apple, cinnamon sugar cookie, lemon rind, red grapes, chocolate, honey, and vanilla.
The palate has an oily mouthfeel and notes of tangy clementine, plum, strawberry, caramel, milk chocolate, and honey.
The finish is long, has some initial heat, and has a Raisin Bran cereal note to send you off. Cheers!

It’s been a few years but I also remember enjoying this one more than the standard stranahans, though not as much as the Stranahans sherry cask.
@PBMichiganWolverine I’d go with Deerhammer over Stranahans for sure (at least their original Colorado whiskey - I’ve never tried pours of the Diamond Peak or Snowflake)
@PBMichiganWolverine when you head out to CO again and if the price is reasonable and logistics allow, somehow this needs to come to the East coast.
@Scott_E its a CO only distribution. After Stranahan’s, probably my 2nd favorite out of CO.
This one sounds good. I have not seen this one, really, anywhere.
