This rum is barely sippable in the best of circumstances. In the worst, it is bitter, flat, and gag-inducing. Even after drinking some peaty scotch first, the bitter, off flavor is still present. There definitely some bad flavors in it, but there is some depth and a little richness. The taste is quite dry. That said, Cruzan zaged Rum is always palatable in eggnog (in small quantities). This is about as generic as rum gets.
