This is my 8th Amrut. Nearly all have been 4 - 4+ ratings and this is no exception. It was very easy to drink straight at 62.1%, however mindful of the impact drinking that high abv has on the body I watered it down substantially and it was awesome. This thing can really handle a lot of water.
Strawberry jam, prunes, cacao, plum and more. It really is an excellent drop. 4.25 to 4.5 easy.

@jonwilkinson7309 No worries! There maybe a bit more variation with these whiskies similar to the kavalans however Amrut do seem a lot more consistent from what I've experienced
Thanks for the review! My only Amrut so far is the peated single malt, which I liked quite a lot. This thread has given me some good ideas for what to try next.
@Soba45 I quite liked the Fusion as well. I liked the peat mixed with the Indian barley.
@Jose-Massu-Espinel Definitely worth a crack at. one of my favourite port finishes
@PBMichiganWolverine Yes tried both of those. loved the Intermediate Sherry. I tried the Kadhambam and didn't blow me away but think it was because it was one of the last drams of the day at Dramfest 2 years ago so my taste buds were fried!
this is one of the Amruts i have not had yet. it seems it is a nice one
I always have to water Amrut down; just way too potent. Try intermediate Sherry as well, was a fabulous dram. Also, they’ve discontinued Kadhambam, so try to get that before prices become silly.
@WhiskeyLonghorn Yes I upgraded to a 4.5 it really is a great dram. The Greedy Angels Chairmans Reserve was the pinnacle of Amruts offerings but I reckon this is no.2. Spectrum would round out the top 3 for me
I remember this being the clear standout when I went to an Amrut tasting back when we could still go places and gather in groups.
