E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch Bourbon

Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Reviewed July 8, 2020 (edited October 31, 2020)
4.0
4.0 out of 5 stars
This delicious bourbon is a beautiful dark copper color with thin oily legs. The nose is sweet and pretty center of the road as far as bourbons go. There’s notes of caramel, vanilla, cherry syrup, baking spices, and chocolate fudge. The palate has an oily mouthfeel and notes of cinnamon, sweet corn, tart cherry, and an ashy smoke taste. It’s very agreeable. The finish is spicy with cinnamon candy and long-lasting. Cheers!

I wound up getting a lot of the same from this bottle but not until it was over a year old and half gone. At first it seemed even more basic than standard BT but has opened up really well.
