Apple in your face! As well on the nose as on the palate. Followed by the sherry influences: dark fruit. There's also oak, vanilla and a hint of pear. The finish isn't overly long nor is it short. The mouthfeel is quite watery although it's a bit oily. All in all Tomatin 12 is a great single malt for the price. It's easy-going. A good start for people who want to get into Scotch and even for those who want to get into sherried Scotches.
