My first Sauternes cask whisky. Nose: sweet, honey, vanilla. Banana? Palate: starts with light sweetness, warming spices then alcohol kicks in. Really burns. Underlying sweetness remains. Finish: sweet, dry, warming and spices like nutmeg and ginger. Moderate dryness like almond. Long, sticky. With water: less aggressive on nose.
