I find a good smoke quality to this dram throughout. First on the nose, but it continues all the way through. The malt is sweet for me with light apple and a bit of gentle peat. Sometimes I catch a bit of bitterness in the early finish that keeps me from loving it. Good peat to consider and it avoided the medicinal note that some Islay's bring.
