This is a very disappointing bourbon. The label states that a young bourbon is cut to 90 proof, and placed back in barrels to continue aging. The idea that it would pick up more flaver from essentially doubling its exposure to fresh barrels was exciting. The aroma is smoky, much like a campfire and tingles the nose unpleasantly. Drinking the bourbon is not any better. The start is very bitter, and a burnt taste lingers on the tongue. The bitterness fades and is replaced with a hint of caramel as you continue to drink it. This is probably best used as a mixer, certainly not worth the $30 I paid for the idea of it.
