A nice fruity nose, with a nice rye tingle. Hints of caramel and apple on the tongu. The matureness of the 14 year whiskey that is part of the blend is smooth on the pallette, while the bold agressiveness of the 4 year leaves a strong tingle on the tongue with a hint of corn for the finish. All in all, a very good bourbon for the price.

Fruity, apple smell. Carmel, and spicy tongue with an oily feel. Very pleasant to drink.

Nice sweet nose. Kinda watery start with a sweet caramel finish that lingers after the taste.

Sweet vanilla, caramel nice with the rye burn. Sweet caramel, bubble gum start. Tobacco and leather finish leather finish. The sweet notes linger throughout. Nice spicy rye burn. Overall, I really like it.

Very fruity and floral nose. It is quite pleasant to smell. This would make an appealing perfume or candle. The initial taste is more like wine than whiskey. The big surprise is when you begin to taste the barrel at the end, the woody, nutty flavor doesn't mix well with the sweet and floral. Not bad by a long shot, but not something I am willing to spend another $70 on again, either.

A strong young bourbon. Strong smoke finish with light Carmel tasting notes.

This is so sweet as to be undrinkable straight. This needs to be mixed, or foisted upon guest you really don't want to come back.

This is surprisingly good. I was shocked by how much I like it. Beyond having a very attractive bottle, the bourbon is very good. The nose has a strong vanilla scent. It is very pleasant. It is surprisingly pleasant on the tongue, with a mild sweet vanilla start on the tip of your tongue, and a peaty middle and a satisfying burn for the finish. A smooth texture throughout makes this a very good bourbon, and surprisingly better than many of the Kentucky bourbon. Definitely give it a try, this is the best thing to come out of Detroit since the assembly line.

This was on sale for $20 a bottle, and I decided to give it a try. I was very surprised by how drinkable this is. Obviously it is not as good as other High West offerings, but since Yippee Kai Yay is no longer available, you can get his likeable, but less refined younger brother, and enjoy a decent pour.
