Nose – Both citrus (oranges/lemons), and deep red fruits like currants, raspberries, strawberries, dark spices, basil, and tobacco, but no smoke…
Palate – Toffee, vanilla, more dark fruits, milk chocolate, glorious heavy mouth coat, oaky properties, dried grapes, and black pepper…
Finish – Medium to long - Oaky properties, leather, cinnamon, and dark chocolate…
Water – N – Brings out more confection sugar like pixie stix, and honey/bread, medium florals. P – Hazelnuts, figs, dates, almonds. F – Drier, but still long in length, waxy with white pepper. Ginger snaps. Savory with sweetness... great balance.

Definitely one of the best 12 YO out there! Springbank 12 CS and HP 12 are also particular stand-outs IMHO.
I gotta try some of those Japanese ones someday. Nice choices.
@Telex Nice. Kilkerran 12 is also in my Top Three 12s alongside Hakushu 12 & Yamazaki 12.
GlenAllachie 12 and Deanston 12 are a couple of other 12 years olds that are right up there.
I was running out of time for songs. Lol. Top 3 at this point are Bunnhabhain 12, Kilkerran 12, and maybe Glendronach 12. I will be looking at the Highland Park 12 and 21 soon, so we’ll see my friends.
Solid review! Two Qs: what are your other two Top 3 12Yr olds? What happened to the theme song selection in this review? :)
