Smoke, heather, grass, vanilla and some mint and pine on the nose. Initial Taste of campfire smoke and ash, turns to meaty BBQ, clove spiced. Wood notes in there as well. Meaty finish lasts a while, good mouth feel. A splash of water brings out the grass and pine on the nose and tamps down the smoke on the taste at first, bringing the pepper and meat forward. The smoke returns on the finish. Good, complex dram. There are layers here that should be picked a part.
