Aroma has a fairly standard delivery for rye and doesn’t stand out from other good ryes, like Pikesville rye, with a solid oaky, spicy and darkly sweet character; Palate is where it diverges and forges its own profile with the light raw/grassy notes showing up and the pancake note getting more pronounced; Finish starts nice but hits a light medicinal point that isn’t exactly my favorite thing.

@TheWhiskeyJug I'm pretty disappointed by the lack of dynamism in this then. IMO Pikesville is decently dynamic, but it isn't exceptional in that regard.
@ContemplativeFox It is different, but I'd also say that it's not as dynamic. FWIW, if they were the same price I'd take the Pikesville over it.
@WhiskeyLonghorn I 100% agree, Pikesville remains my goto. It's so hard to beat!
Glad it at least deviates from Pikesville in the palate. As @WhiskeyLonghornsaid, Pikesville is a really solid benchmark rye, so I would want this to at least be different in an interesting way considering how much more it costs.
Pikesville seems to be the rye to beat, and at a quarter of the price of this one no less. Good comparison. Love your website too!
