Reviewed May 15, 2023 (edited May 17, 2023)NOSE Woody, dry Malt, cereal grain sweetness, banana chips, orchard fruit, Nilla Wafers, and a slight grassy note. A lackluster aroma that comes through light and is rather weak. PALATE Caramel, grassy malt, cereal sweetness, banana chips, dried orchard fruit, vanilla cake, and baking spice. High West A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 10 (All Scenes)
Rye — USA
Reviewed May 10, 2023 (edited May 24, 2023)NOSE Fruity sweet, dilly spicy, oaky, copper and some vanilla taffy, cocoa and waxiness. It’s a decent nose, but light and not as expressive as past batches. A bit on the mild side. PALATE Cloying port, copper, stale nutmeg, oak, vanilla taffy, biscuity, light dill, cocoa and raisins. Surprisingly light despite the heavy sweetness, this is not at all what I think of when I think HWMND. -
NOSE Dill, orange slice candy, rye spice, vanilla, white pepper and light notes of caramel, oak, leather. Smells exactly like you think an MGP 95/5 would, and I dig it like I always do. PALATE Dill, orange slice candy, oak, rye spice, vanilla, white pepper and light notes of caramel, leather. Darn near a carbon copy of the aroma which is to be expected. FINISH Medium-long -> Dill, spice and oak with some vanilla taffy.

TINCUP Fourteener Longs Peak (Release No. 1)
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Colorado), USA
Reviewed May 8, 2023 (edited May 23, 2023)NOSE Oak, dried dark fruit, leather, roasted nuts, complex baking spice, and a touch of pepper. Deep and rich, this is the kind of bourbon aroma I miss finding more. Reminds me a bit of old Heaven Hill. PALATE Oak, dried dark fruit, roasted grain, roasted nuts, caramel, complex spice and slightly tannic with touches of menthol and vanilla. The palate though makes me think a bit more of Old Forrester, but still quite nice. FINISH Long -> Oak, spice, dried dark fruit, brown sugar. -
NOSE Vanilla, cornflakes, malty sweetness, oak, nutmeg, Twizzlers, orange candy, and a slight floral note. Light and airy, it’s a mostly sweet aroma with earthier notes coming in pockets and hints. PALATE Grassy grain, oak, vanilla taffy, orange candy, baking spice, bready, a touch of cinnamon red hots, and caramelized banana Starts off simple and grassy, but slowly builds to a more nuanced palate. FINISH Medium -> Grassy, oaky, and caramelized banana
