Oban 14 is delicious and wonderfully balanced with fruit(pear and hint of citrus on the front, strawberry on the finish), floral honey, light malt, brine, and a touch of smoke. No one flavor profile dominates but work congruently together for a tasty dram that is easy to drink but has enough complexity to be memorable. I don't know why the reviewer only gave it an 83, as this deserves to be closer to 90. I've had worse scotches that weren't as good as Oban 14 that Distiller rated higher. Get another taster to rate this, Distiller; the original one must have been having a bad day.
