Excellent bourbon - better then it's big brother, Booker's, in my estimation.
The nose is typical Beam family - vanilla, caramel, sweet corn. The initial palate brings a flood of sweet white sugar, vanilla, and a wonderful marshmallow taste as the barrel char begins to appear. Only slight alcohol burn, which is surprising given the high proof. On the finish, hints of toasted oak and char linger with more vanilla and marshmallow.
It's a shame that this member of the Beam small batch collection gets over looked - it may be the best of the group.
