Buffalo Trace Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

This bargain bourbon is the color of new copper and watery legs dribble down the inside of the glass after a swirl.
The nose is sweet if not pretty basic. Notes of caramel, sweet corn, vanilla, and alcohol.
The palate too is not bad by any means but not exciting either. There’s a sweet heat, and the taste of vanilla with cherry candy.
The finish is quick and boasts a milk chocolate aftertaste.
This is a great everyday sipper. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing overly great either. It’s good bourbon to go with just about any occasion. Cheers!

@MountainRoot I actually just tried Ancient Age! I was impressed by its easy drink ability for $10
@ContemplativeFox Oh, very nice! Ancient Age bourbon for me, followed also by Macallan 12 to seal the deal.
@MountainRoot Technically, I suppose it was Jack Daniel's #7, but the one that got me into whiskey was Macallan 12 :) What did you start out with?
@ContemplativeFox thanks for the encouragement, friend! What was your starting whiskey?
Excellent summary of this one. Definitely a safe choice to get someone started on bourbon :)
