Nose very similar to RC6 - maple syrup, briny, earthy, woody, caramel sweetness. Extremely unique. Unfortunately the SE4 doesn’t pack a punch like the RC6 and the palate is lacking. Very pleasant but too light to be exceptional. I will still recommend it to everyone that wants a good unique bottle but it’s edged out slightly by the RC6.
Edit: Came back to this after a bit and did another side by side. The SE4 is still lacking on mouthfeel and finish, but the taste is a bit more pleasant. More fruits and less earthy flavor and tobacco/mint than RC6, which I like.
I use the rating scale below. Distiller uses a scale of 5 and I use a scale of 10, but I’m sure you’re not too drunk to do the math!
1. Disgusting - So bad I poured it out.
2. Poor - I wouldn't consume by choice.
3. Bad - Multiple flaws.
4. Below average - Not bad, but many things I'd rather have.
5. Good - Just average.
6. Very Good - Better than average.
7. Great - Well above average.
8. Excellent - In a league of its own.
9. Incredible - An all-time favorite.
10. Perfect
