477 Distilling Single Barrel Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Colorado, USA
Reviewed November 15, 2023 (edited August 6, 2024)Hey y’all. Sorry for ghosting - been busy and have been sipping on some of the same stuff. Bought this in CO. Good bourbon for the price. I would say its a good mix of Maker’s Mark honey and caramel wirh Woodford’s cherry. I enjoyed it as an easy drinker. Would like to try the cask strength. Definitely give it a try. Cheers y’all. I use the rating scale below. Distiller uses a scale of 5 and I use a scale of 10, but I’m sure you’re not too drunk to do the math! 1. Disgusting - So bad I poured it out. 2. Poor - I wouldn't consume by choice. 3. Bad - Multiple flaws. 4. Below average - Not bad, but many things I'd rather have. 5. Good - Just average. 6. Very Good - Better than average. 7. Great - Well above average. 8. Excellent - In a league of its own. 9. Incredible - An all-time favorite. 10. Perfect -

Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 17
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 8, 2022 (edited December 14, 2022)Gahdamn SJR can’t be beat. Honestly stop looking for big daddy Stagg and spend the $250 secondary for an SJR. Any batch is worth it tbh. Caramel. Dark cherry. Oaky AF. So good man. I can’t give you much more right now because I’m drunk but I’m not wrong and you know it. I use the rating scale below. This is damn good. I’m usually a bourbon only kinda guy and have never found a Balcones I liked. I got the Spec’s store pick as a gift and it has really opened up over time. Not sure how to pick out some of these single malt notes, but nose is chocolate and sweet caramel. Palate confirms and it drinks below its proof. Pretty good juice. I use the rating scale below. Booker's Bourbon Batch 2021-02 "Tagalong Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 19, 2022 (edited May 14, 2023)Cinnamon. Peanuts. Marshmallow. Jim Beam vibes but better (makes sense). Vanilla. Cherry. Dark cherry on palate. Honey. Not overly hot despite the proof. Very nice long finish. This is a good bourbon. I was always skeptical of Booker’s but this has surprised me. I use the rating scale below. The nose is above average but that’s where the goodness ends unfortunately. This is a low proof, young bourbon so I wasn’t expecting much but overall it’s pretty underwhelming. Nose is soft marshmallows and slight spice. Caramel and honey. Corn forward. Cinnamon. Palate doesn’t give me much. No heat not much of anything. I’m a high proof junkie so maybe my palate isn’t suited for this, but it is what it is! For $25 I’ve had worse. I use the rating scale below. Not nearly as hot as the ABV suggests. Super good. Sweetness makes it more of a desert bourbon to me. Probably the best GB I’ve had. I use the rating scale below. Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch B521

Reviewed June 16, 2021 (edited September 14, 2021)Definitely not what I expected from ECBP. Almost a fruity/sour/sweet palate with none of the kick-you-in-the-teeth heat or heavy flavors of the other batches. This is the lowest proof so some of that is to be expected but it’s still interesting… Definitely gonna let it open up and I’ll edit my review… I use the rating scale below.
