Lagavulin Offerman Edition 11 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland

Smell: Strong resemblance to the Lagavulin 16 with profound Islay characteristics of peat smoke and briney salt water notes. Maybe a hint of minty spice hiding underneath.
Taste: Very friendly balance of leather and peat with a after kick of black pepper that burns the throat afterwards. Has the characteristics of the Lagavulin 16 that I love with a heavier and spicier note. Can definitely tell this is a younger scotch as a result, the oak and char tastes of the barrel are found in the spicy notes behind the peat smoke. Great scotch. A good variety from the more traditional 16yr offering.
10.15.20. NEAT.
