The Aroma is sweet caramel with some brown sugar and a hint of vanilla. I thought about the old candy Sugar Babies for a moment. Flavor is decidedly more spicy than the Aroma hints. Lots of baking spices and some floral notes. Touches of chocolate in the background. Also getting some coffee notes. Finish is very nice and lingers well. Left with a peppery, lightly bitter perfumed flavor that I love.
Truth be told, (decade ago) before I was into Bourbon as much, I loved Blanton's, without knowing the hype. I'm convinced that it's due to the High Rye malt bill as this has since become known to me. At that time, I had no idea. It's a wonderful Bourbon and worth the hunt that's become a part of securing a bottle.

Just a year ago I could get this every month or two at my local TW for $65 (plus high tax). Now they're lotterying it and secondary starts at $150 :(
