The color is a rich, reddish amber and is ever so oily on the glass. The nose is immediately full of charred oak, buttery vanilla, chocolate, cherry, honey and rounds off with subtle brown sugar and baking spices. The palate is very oak forward that is not too dry and not too oily, filling the mouth with chocolate, vanilla and a great balance of baking spices. The cherry is very toned down on the palate, as is the sweetness that is wonderfully under control. The finish is medium long with oak still filling the mouth with a simple and lovely creamy finish.
