Laphroaig 10 Year Cask Strength (Batch 11)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed
November 17, 2020
Nose - Big strong burning campfire with honeyed oak, damp grains and earth, salt and lemon cheesecake.
Palate - Classic Laphroaig's honey coated wood and sea salt, maybe smoked fish, firey black pepper and oodles of tart sweet lemonade with dried tobacco leaves.
Finish - Smoked brisket, faint olives, antiseptic iodine and bread.
Really bold and unapologetic, silky smooth especially considering the high ABV, but with beautiful layers of complexity. It's great with or without a few drops of water
