Wow. After having tasted this on year seven, the final stretch really brings it all together. Complex nose of wood lacquer, seaside rocks, green apple peel and fresh cut tall grass. No nose of the first fill bourbon cask, no vanilla or sweet scent. Perhaps a hint of pineapple.
Medium body with a sharp bite, surprising punch for the abv. Very subtle fruit and very good authenticity of barley, light peat and very fresh smokiness. Incredible length and clarity with an elegant profile while providing a serious bite. Impressive. Smooth, but dry. Excellent
