AUTHOR: Matt Strickland
After receiving his M.S. degree in Enology and Viticulture from Oregon State in 2012, Matt moved back to his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. There he was Head of R&D for the acclaimed Corsair Distillery. In late 2015 he was offered the opportunity to head up a new distillery pub in Washington DC. Most recently Matt took on the role of Master Distiller for a new farm distillery in Mirabel, Quebec, just outside of Montreal. Matt has been a faculty member of the Distilled Spirits Epicenter since 2014 where he teaches whiskey production. He is the only American to be named to the Distilling Board of Examiners for the Institute of Brewing and Distilling in the UK.
