The Distiller Reviewer Leaderboard: June 2026

July 2, 2026

Every month, Distiller users post thousands of reviews. These users posted the most high quality reviews to Distiller in June 2026!

Each month, the leaderboard updates with the users who contributed the most new, high-quality reviews to the platform. Members who make it into the top 10 are automatically entered into a drawing for prizes, including a gift card and a free year of Distiller Pro. Thousands of reviews are posted to Distiller every month, so making it to the Top 10 is pretty incredible.

The leaderboard resets every month.

Top 10 Reviewers in Distiller: June 2026

Congrats to our Top 3 Reviewers this month!

#1 – brownwaterboi
#2 – RunninTexas
#3 – Gator_Epp

This Month’s Prizes:

– $40 gift card that can be used to purchase a bottle of your choice

– 1 year of Distiller Pro (free!)

This month’s Prize Winner is: Aged-One!

Read below to learn more about how the prize winner is randomly drawn.

The higher you rank, the better your odds of winning:

– Positions 4–10 get one entry each.

3rd place earns one additional entry.

2nd place earns two additional entries.

1st place earns three additional entries (for a total of four).

Once the entries are all ordered, we use the list randomizer at random.org. This determines a weighted and randomized list of all of our top 10 reviewers. We then use the random.org number picker to select a number. The number is matched with the username in the randomized list, which is how the prize winner is determined.

Leaderboard Rules:

Only high-effort reviews count. Single-word reviews or those with only a star rating and no written content don’t qualify. Reviews must include thoughtful tasting notes and insights about the spirit. (See below for examples of high vs. low-effort reviews.)

Only new reviews count. Copy-pasting from spreadsheets, other platforms, or re-posting previous reviews doesn’t count.

Written tasting notes are required for a review to qualify.

Reviews must follow community guidelines.

Top 10 reviewers of the month are entered into the prize drawing. (See the entry breakdown above.)

You can only win once every 6 months. If your name is drawn within 6 months of your last win, the prize will go to the next eligible participant.

Winners will be contacted by email. Prizes must be claimed within two weeks; unclaimed prizes will not be reissued.

If you’re ineligible due to your location, we’ll work with you to find a prize of similar value if possible.

Distiller reserves the right to modify or withhold prizes for any reason.

Tie-Breaker Rules:

If two or more users tie for the same position, the spot will move to a tie-breaker. To determine the winner for each spot, we’ll follow these steps in order:

1) Most review data added. Reviews with additional data fields (such as star ratings, flavor tags, location, price, vessel, and photos) take priority.

Example:
Reviewer A has posted 20 reviews with tasting notes and star ratings. Reviewer B has posted 20 reviews with tasting notes, star ratings, and photos. Reviewer C has posted 20 reviews with tasting notes, star ratings, photos, and flavor tags. Reviewer C would rank 1st, Reviewer B would rank 2nd, and Reviewer A would rank 3rd.

2) Most detailed tasting notes. If users are still tied, we’ll look at the average length and quality of their tasting notes. Reviews that provide more descriptive, thoughtful insights will rank higher.

3) Most unique days. If users are still tied after the first two tie-breakers, we’ll look at how consistently they posted reviews throughout the month. The user who posted reviews on the highest number of unique days during that month will rank higher.

Example:
User A posted reviews on November 1, 3, 10, 17 and 24 (5 unique days).
User B posted reviews on November 2, 5, 8 and 20 (4 unique days).
User A would win the tie-breaker because they contributed on more days.

4) Random draw. If users remain tied after all other steps, we’ll hold a random draw to determine ranking placement.

Examples of High vs. Low-Effort Reviews:

High-Effort Reviews (Count Toward the Leaderboard):

Some users choose to write a lot more than this (and that’s awesome!), but these types of reviews are examples of the minimum level of effort to qualify for the leaderboard.

– “This rye opens with big notes of baking spice and pepper, but mellows into a sweet vanilla finish. The balance between spice and sweetness makes it great neat.”

– “A bold and smoky mezcal that’s not for beginners. Lots of earthy notes, charred agave, and a long mineral finish. Love the depth here.”

– “Surprisingly smooth for the price point. The nose is full of caramel and oak, with a hint of cherry on the palate. Great value pick.”

Low-Effort Reviews (Do Not Count):

– “Good.”

– “Tasty, would buy again.”

– “3.5 stars.”

– “Smooth.”
