There is a subtle toasted note from the barrel amongst the peat that gives this a different smoky profile than a typical Islay. Well worth trying.

It has lots of character but is very very thin in the mouth. I wish it had a slightly higher abv. It would be probably great at 46% or something... The peat on this is very different from other islays, less medicinal I guess.

Don't agree with the official review, this is a lot sweeter and perfumy than described for me. A great bottle for it's price and with lots of character.

A very intense Sherry bomb. Gets a lot sweeter and smooth with a splash of water. Great stuff.

An amazing whisky for its age, very oily, dense and complex. Ripe fruit with a slight toast. Very nice.

I wouldn't tell it's a NAS. The wine cask is obvious and the whisky is bold but well rounded.
